Mobile Phone To Mobile Computer??

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 8:54 am

With the current mobile phone market in the UK reaching an all time high there seems to be a multitude of handsets on the market. New and updated models hit the market at a rate of around 4-5 per month. Many features seem to bundled into these phones as standard and the costs of making them has soared to the point that many of the mobile phone networks in the UK are now pushing for 18 month contracts to reduce the cost impact. Phone manufacturers are now having to make a choice between producing a handset that covers all the bases at a respectable level to those handsets designed to do an outstanding job in one particular area for a more specific user. How many times have you heard someone tell you that they don’t use their camera, multi media messaging (MMS) or that they never listen to the radio function.

No sooner had the general public become accustomed to getting all this extra functionality from their phone, along comes 3G (3rd Generation) with it’s ability to offer mobile to mobile video calling and better access to internet resources it was almost certainly going to be a hit. The first real push in the 3G market in the UK came from a company who were specifically targeting this new generation of phones, aptly names Three.

A mobile without a camera these days is considered old and out of date, they are getting better and better the number of mega pixels (the higher the number the better quality picture you can take) seems to be getting larger each month and with it the storage capacity increases to cover the larger overheads. Very few models available in the market today are without the now “standard” features of a camera, sound recorder, alarm, internet browser and of course the much loved games. These days with the addition of “organiser” functions like calendars, task management and of course your “contacts” people rely more and more on their mobile.

For those people who are into music then Sony Ericson have released their “Walkman” phone W810i with a built in MP3 Player and fantastic handset design, or the W850 which also includes two way video calling.

Mobile phones are becoming more and more like a computer, with internet access, the ability to surf the web and pick up your emails, organise your diary and even the addition of instant messengers you really can hold your life in the palm of your hand.

If you want to take a look at what is on offer for the latest handsets and some of the best tariffs available on all the UK’s major networks please visit - www.bestmobilesolutions.co.uk

Send a Media Release to Stand Out and Shine

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 11:19 am

Do you want to stand out from the crowd in your business or personal life?

Does the idea of free publicity appeal to you?

One way to gain recognition and exposure for your business or your personal achievements is to distribute a media release.

The media are always looking for stories of interest to fill their newspapers, magazines, TV and radio shows. If you can offer them something that is newsworthy, topical, interesting or entertaining then you have a good chance of your story being used. Sending relevant media releases often ensures you stay “top of mind” with your database of media contacts and is great public relations for you or your business when your story is run.

Here are some good reasons to send a media release any time you have something interesting to say.

1. Continuous brand building. Anytime you get a media “hit” and your name is mentioned it will add to the public’s awareness of your brand and what you have to offer.

2. Credibility of your message. An editorial story is a lot more likely to be read and recognised than an advertisement. Seeing a story on the TV news or reading about it in the paper gives your product or message a lot more credibility.

3. Cheap. Certainly cheaper than advertising and free if you write and issue your media release yourself. You could end of with thousands of dollars worth of free editorial coverage.

4. Clients and customers kept informed. You need to find ways to continually keep in front of customers and clients. Perhaps they will see your story in the newspaper. But why not call and alert them to your story or send a clipping of your article to keep in touch. Better still include comments or quotes from your clients in the media release.

5. Clarity. Writing a media release will help you get clear on what your message is by being succinct and concise with the words you choose. Clients will gain more understanding of your products or services also.

6. Communicating who you are, what you do and how you make a difference is what public relations is all about. Getting into the habit of communicating your successes and achievements by sending media releases will aid in raising your profile.

7. Celebrity status. Gaining publicity in the media will help you become known as the expert in your area and will enhance your image and reputation.

Robosapien RS Media- Robots are taking the world by storm this Christmas!
http://www.find-me-a-gift.co.uk/robosapien-rs-media.html

Robosapien RS Media is a massively enhanced multimedia version of the Robosapien V2 with loads of extra features

Robots are taking the world by storm this Christmas and the Robosapien RS Media is the leader of the pack. Evolved from the Robosapien V2. He interacts with people and his environment, has sight, sound and touch sensors, speech response, can recognise colours and skin tones, has full IR vision and can even track moving objects. He sounds more human than some of the characters we know.

Of course it can now be completely customised to reflect what’s going on in your feverish head! As the makers themselves say, it’s the perfect fusion of cutting edge technology and personality modelling software. And even though that’s a big statement, they’re right. It’s a bit like having a child that you can have complete control over…..hold that thought! The robot plays MP3s, MPEG4s, and takes photos and videos as he interacts with his environment. He has a head-mounted camera, a colour LCD screen in his chest, a full speaker system embedded in his armour, 40 MB of internal memory, and an external memory card slot. You can control this guy with the hand controller or using the media controls embedded on his hands. You can play Java games, navigate the media menus, switch between his four personalities (RS Media, Service Bot 3000, Space Bot, and Billy-Joen Sapien) or create your own personality using the RS Media editing suite software.

How To Find Mp3 Files Online

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 1:50 pm

Almost everyone has heard about the legal proceedings regarding the distribution of music files online. Regardless of which side of the issue someone mind find themselves on, downloading music on the Internet has struck a chord with nearly everyone. For someone who owns or plans to own an MP3 player it is important to play by the rules to ensure they don’t wind up in the middle of this ugly fight. Here are a few online sources for downloading digital music legally that charge reasonable amounts and have respectable names.

1. AOL Music Now–America Online has been a major name in the Internet world since the early nineties and boasts over 1.5 million songs in their database for members to use. AOL’s service is available on a free trial and then for $0.99 per downloaded song.

2. F.Y.E.–After a free trial period, F.Y.E. (a leader in downloadable music) provides 1.2 million songs to choose from for a flat $1 per download.

3. MusicMatch–While MusicMatch does not offer a free trial period, the MusicMatch software will make personal recommendations for its users, among other services. They charge $0.99 per download.

4. MSN Music–Microsoft, another leading name in the Internet and in computers, offers one million songs that are available for $0.99 per download. Like MusicMatch, MSN does not offer a free trial period.

5. Napster–Napster, the name that started it all, is once again one of the premier outlets for music downloads, this time on a monthly membership fee basis. With around one million songs in their database, Napster offers downloads for $9.95 a month on up to three computers. Napster also offers a seven day free trial.

6. PassAlong–Relatively new to the scene, and sporting a smaller database than most download services of around 400,000 songs, PassAlong offers a nice perk in exchange. A member can earn bonus points that reduce the price of future downloads by making recommendations to their friends for certain types of music. PassAlong does not offer a free trial and starts at $0.99 per download.

7. PureTracks–Canadians benefit from WMA files from just $0.99 in Canadian dollars. Puretracks has over 1 million songs.

Did you ever feel that the person you were speaking to was living on another planet? Did it ever cross your mind that they might think the same about you? This is what can happen if your communication with your customer is not in synch with their sense of reality.

I am using the term sense, however to mean how they actually mentally process information. While each of us has five senses, we normally perceive the world stronger through one than the other four.

Knowing which sense a person favours, can really help your levels of communication with that person.

Did you ever forget something, like the name of a song, and you were describing your frustration to someone at not being able to remember it. Which of the following 5 sentences might you use to describe your situation?

It is so frustrating; I can feel it right on the tip of my tongue.

I nearly have it; I can hear it clearly in my head.

It’s so close; I can see it in my mind’s eye.

I want to remember that so badly, I can almost taste it.

It just stinks not being able to remember it.

So which of these did you associate with?

For me it is visual, but I don’t know which one it is for you right now. You probably don’t know which sense your customer uses.

Once you do know, it is like finding the combination to a safe.

This is the key to finding the language to use with your prospect, so that you are on the same page, and they can start to understand precisely the benefits of your offering.

So how do you find out which sense a prospect favours?

In reality most people favour one of three senses; hearing, seeing and touching. The best time to find out people’s strategies is during the small talk, or ice breaker conversation at the beginning of a meeting.

You may be discussing hobbies; an easy example is when somebody says they love golf. You might say something like, “It is great when one hits a good shot and how do you know when you have hit a good one?”

The response is likely to be something along the lines of;

I love seeing the ball arcing up, and falling in the centre of the fairway.

That feeling when you make a clean strike is magical.

It’s the sound; there is no sound sweeter that a well struck drive.

If you were selling clothes, you might ask “what do you look for in a garment?” In this case most clothes buyers normally go by look and/or feel, but they do major on one, and their responses would be similar to one of the following;

I look for a good cut, with vibrant colours

I like the texture, the material should not be abrasive.

How to adapt, once you know which sense a buyer favours

You might be selling sports clothes and love the texture of the latest range of active wear, but your buyer is a visual person. In this situation, you must go with their strategy and ask them questions about what they are looking for in a range of colours and what cut they believe their customers want.

It is important to note here, that even after you have elicited the buyer’s strategy, you do not go into sell mode. It is still vitally important to remain in question mode. The key is to ask questions, that the prospect can feel comfortable in answering.

While this is just a summary of how people buy, in order to ensure you are able to connect correctly, you should ensure that you ask the right questions to ascertain someone’s strategy, as it relates to the value proposition of your offering.

There is no point asking the clothes type questions, if you are trying to sell a sophisticated piece of customer service software to the Service manager of a large telecommunications company.

Writing an editorial article may be one of the most satisfying forms of writing, especially for journalists trained to be objective at all costs. An editorial article can be about anything and from any standpoint. As long as you have an opinion and can support it with facts, you have the makings of an interesting piece.

We all have opinions, right? Yet not all of us are editorial writers and not all editorials are worth reading. What exactly makes an editorial article good — and how do you write one?

KNOW YOUR THESIS

Too many people begin writing their topic with only a vague sense of opinion, never honing, or refining, that opinion into something sharp and distinctive. Be sure to have a solid grasp of what you’re arguing and why you’re arguing. Think about your topic and why you’ve chosen it first. What elements of the argument call to you? What angers or pleases you about this issue? Keep these things in mind as you begin to write.

MINE THE DATA

An editorial is only as good as its facts. Sure, you may think the death penalty is wrong and worthy of outlaw, but without backing it up with data, you have nothing but a half-formed opinion. Get the backstory, understand your argument inside-out. Research every aspect of your topic and cite as many facts as possible; generalities are the death of interesting editorials.

CONSIDER THE ROAD LESS TRAVELED

Don’t pigeonhole yourself into writing from majority’s opinion just because you can make easy arguments. Think long and hard about your position on the chosen issue and write from the standpoint that makes the most sense to you. Never, ever, ever compromise your beliefs for the sake of a byline.

AVOID HYPERBOLE

Sure, exaggerating slightly is expected during a heated face-to-face, but hyperbole has no place in a well-written editorial. You can rarely back up statements such as “always” and “never” with factual data, so stay away from them unless the hyperbole has a definite, and obvious, literary purpose. Typically, including these words will make your editorial prone to justifiable, and often fatal, criticism.

UNDERSTAND THE OPPOSITION

The only way to create a fully formed editorial with tons of depth and poignancy is to understand what the other side is arguing. Research opposing viewpoints with the same voracious energy as the ones with which you line up. Take the time to understand what the other side is arguing and why; after all, you can only combat a particular argument if you know exactly what that argument is.

It makes no difference if you are thinking about starting a business, shopping or just looking for a new job online, you can protect yourself from some of the cleverest scams online if you just follow the simple steps below.

(1) You can always find out information on a company or person by doing a quick search online. Go to Goggle or Yahoo and type in the company or person name and then type in the word scam after. Follow all leads. If no leads show up, then that is a good thing. It means there are no complaints on them online.

(2) Check with the state’s Attorney General’s Office to see if the company or person have received a series of complaints.

(3) Check with the National Fraud Information Center at: www.fraud.org to see if the company or person is listed. They provide a lot of information about telephone, mail, and online scams.

(4) Make sure the company or person you plan to do business with have a phone number and physical address. Call the company or person to see if the phone number actually belongs to them.

(5) Always make sure that you get a guarantee. Ask the company what will happen if you want to return the product or what do you need to do if you want a refund.

(6) Be cautious of companies who ask for your bank account info, or ask permission to deposit money into your bank account.

(7) Try to use your credit card instead of cash if you buy a product or invest in a business opportunity. That way if you do get ripped off, it may be easier to dispute the charges with your credit card company.

(8) Never do business with anyone in the country of Nigeria. If you do, you are fair game. The Nigerian Government is in on most of the scams from that country. This is just too large a business for Nigeria to crack down on. It would be like Nevada trying to close the casinos in Las Vegas. There have been numerous reports of high-level officials of the Nigerian government and the Central Bank of Nigeria personally participating in some scams.

(9) Don’t reply to bulk email. You don’t won’t to do business with someone who likes to spam people. Why? If they are bold enough to spam you, then they are bold enough to ripping you off!

(10) Never buy a product or business opportunity with out getting a receipt or confirmation number. If you don’t get one or the other, then it’s your word against theirs. With out proof, you will loose every time.

(11) Use common sense! If it sound too good to be true! Guess what? It’s a scam!

Don’t Become Their Next Victim.

Search and organize your entire CD and DVD collection

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 6:49 pm

Had you ever inserted multiple compact disks into your PC in an attempt to find just one MP3 song? It’s definitely a routine, time-consuming work that you could have easily avoided if you’d catalog your files first. But cataloging is difficult and takes more time than just occasionally looking for a file when you need it, right?

Wrong! Cataloging CD and DVD media has never been easier. With powerful computers and sophisticated software you can off-load entire cataloging job to your PC; all you need to do is just inserting the disks one by one. No need to make notes or write down things on paper. Your PC will make the process as easy as one-two-three. Once you try the convenience of your entire CD/DVD collection indexed, there’s really no way back!

WinCatalog by Software Institute http://www.softinstitute.com/ is one of the more advanced cataloging tools on the market. It does what its name suggests by automatically indexing files and data such as MP3 tags on your entire CD and DVD collection, but it goes way beyond that. If you are looking for a song, searching by the file name is not always convenient. How about looking for the name of the song, or searching your entire disk collection for all songs performed by a specific artist? That does not take more than a few mouse clicks with WinCatalog!

If you have an abundance of disks, they might get difficult to get around. Mixing data backups with MP3 songs is no fun. WinCatalog lets you organize your collection hierarchically with virtual ‘blue’ folders, allowing you to create a meaningful structure. For example, you can create different blue folders for DVD movies, audio CDs, digital pictures and data backups.

But what if you are trying to find a file on a CD or DVD that you loaned to a friend and then forgot about it? No problem, as WinCatalog not only finds the file and tells you what CD it was, but can even tell you who and when borrowed that particular disk! Its built-in contact manager lets you track your disks easily. With WinCatalog you’ll never lose an important disk again!

Once you start organizing things, the convenience of easy index and fast search really strikes at you. So why limiting yourself with just CDs and DVDs? WinCatalog allows you to catalog and track books, VHS tapes, and all other objects such as your stamp collection just as easily as it does with computer disks. WinCatalog won’t let you forget about the book that you loaned!

WinCatalog is by all means affordable, but if you just need a simple and free tool to catalog and search your digital media, and do not need reporting and the ability to index things like books and VHS tapes, the free Light version might be just right for you. WinCatalog Light is absolutely free to use, and even includes the useful loaner tracking feature of the Standard edition.

Download your free trial version of WinCatalog from http://www.wincatalog.com/freetrial.html, or get the absolutely free Light edition at http://www.wincatalog.com/light.html

Michael Rusakov is PhD in the sphere of software reliability. He has founded his own company in 2001 for developing WinCatalog. Now after more than 5 years of hard work, the company constantly grows and brings new high quality software to the market.

If you’ve never tasted Southern food , then you don’t know what you’re missing. But truth be told, chances are you already have enjoyed Southern food but just didn’t know it.

There’s a distinct cuisine in the Southern United States that is best represented by Soul food, Creole, Cajun, Tex-Mex and Floribbean. Naturally, this food was heavily influenced by the cuisine of many groups that have inhabited the area throughout history, including African-American, Native American, British, Irish, French and Spanish cuisine.

Mint juleps, pecan pie, country ham, chicken-fried steak, grits, biscuits, especially with gravy or sorghum, sweet tea, pit barbeque, catfish, fried green tomatoes, cornbread, fried chicken, okra, butter beans, pinto beans, “greens”, and black eyed peas are other types of food that are associated with the South.

There are food chains that specialize in Southern food too, such as Cracker Barrel, that have been quite profitable catering to a special niche. Their reach has extended beyond the South and into the mainstream American markets. Other nationally popular Southern chains are Stuckey’s and Popeye’s which are known for their “pecan shoppe” and spicy fried chicken, respectively. Meanwhile, there are also national chains that are now considered mainstream but have Southern roots including Kentucky Fried Chicken, Krystal, Shoney’s, the Waffle House and Hardee’s. The popular donut chain Krispy Kreme also has its roots in the South.

In addition, there are chains that specialize in Southern food that have decided to cater solely to the Southern market, such as Po’ Folks and Famous Amos as well as Sonny’s Real Pit Bar-B-Q,

Within the South itself, food tends to vary by region. In Southern Louisiana, for example, Cajun and Creole food is very popular. Soul food is generally associated with black communities but is also enjoyed by others in the South. North Carolina and South Carolina have traditionally been rice-loving locales while people in North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas just love their barbecues. Virginia is the home of those famous Smithfield hams while Louisiana is renowed for its hot sauces. Florida is where you can trace the roots of Key Lime Pie, while it’s peaches and peanuts in Georgia. Texas is famous for its chili while Kentucky has its Burgoo.
