The Best Way to Get a Woman’s Phone Number

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 1:31 pm

A guy recently emailed me a GREAT question that stumps everyone I meet. It has to do with a simple challenge, but one that most of you would love to handle better. Let’s hear cheap mp3 he has to say:

“Stephen,

First of all, thanks for all of your solid advice over the years. I am a huge fan of yours, and Mike too. Your dating and fashion advice are number one, as far as I am concerned. Recently, I have improved a lot of my dating woes and am meeting lots of women. However, when it comes time to go for the phone number, I get all tongue-tied and confused. Help me out man! What is the best way to ask for her phone number?

Thanks a lot!

Owen
Los Angeles, CA”

Good question Owen, and thanks for writing us. So, let me guess, you spotted her in the mall, you approached her, you have had a great conversation, but you feel clueless when it is time to take it to the next level and get her phone number? Yep, that problem is common…

Lots of guys get hung up when it comes time to “close the deal”. They don’t know what to say, so often they won’t say anything and just split!

How many times have I heard women exclaim, “Why didn’t he ask for my number? I would have given it to him in a heartbeat!!”

The best way to get her number is, of course, to ask her. If she is into you, it won’t matter how you ask her - she won’t care! However, if you want a solid script to use, which helps you feel prepared - here is the best one yet:

“I have to run, and so do you, but I would love to continue this some other time - what is your number?”

I know, I know…it couldn’t be that easy…

But guess what - IT IS. That’s really it guys!

You graciously tell her that you have to leave, and you let her know that you also realize that she has to go too. Also, by exiting, you indicate to her that you are a busy guy and don’t have all day to chat. Then, you set it up as a continuation of what has already been started. People are less likely to feel uncomfortable continuing something (unless she doesn’t feel comfortable around you) than they are starting something completely anew.

If you don’t get her number with this script, something is wrong with your presentation or conversational skills. Or, maybe she’s just having a bad day…

In any event - keep it simple, and just be sure to ask. And remember, if she likes you, it won’t matter how you say it. So, be sure to be playful, humorous, build a little intrigue, reveal some interesting facts about yourself…cover the basics.

Speaking of that, if you still don’t get the basics, let me suggest you take a look at the CEIC product line. My ebook How To Get A Girlfriend: The Seven Essential Skills for Attracting the Woman of Your Dreams covers all the basics, while our 7-day Audio Program, Natural Attraction takes these seven skills and expands upon them, including exercises designed to EASILY transform your dating and relationships with all people, not just women. Click here to read more about it.

Otherwise, use this to your heart’s content. Unlike some of my friends, I won’t even charge you royalties to use it!

Remember to send me those questions, and write “Mailbag” in the subject line. I really thank all the guys who send me questions (I get a lot, and I appreciate ALL of them - seriously) as it lets me know what kinds of challenges you are all having, helping us to help you…

Thoughtful Christmas Gifts That Won’t Cost A Thing

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 7:25 pm

We all get caught up in the material excesses of Christmas at some point. We shop for that perfect Christmas gift for that special someone, we wait in long lines, we spend a load of cash, only to find that the best gifts are the ones that don’t cost a thing but are filled with thought and joy. These are the true gifts of Christmas. Here are some surefire Christmas gift ideas that won’t cost you a cent but are guaranteed to please:

IOU’s

These are probably the most thoughtful gifts you can give. Figure out what someone needs or wants, something that’s not tangible, and write out an IOU to them on a Christmas card. Some examples:

- Your Mom would love some time alone to relax away from the baby, write an IOU for 2 hours of babysitting.

- You Dad plans to organize the garage, write an IOU for 2 hours of help with sorting out the garage.

- Your elderly neighbor could use a hand with yard work, write them an IOU for 1 hour of yard work on a future weekend.

- Your sister gets migraines a lot, write an IOU to give her some TLC during her next migraine.

- Your nephew is having trouble in math, write an IOU for 2 hours of math tutoring.

- Your friend recently moved so you don’t see them anymore, write an IOU for a trip to the park or some other special place.

There are a million different things you can write an IOU for, the only limit is the limit to your imagination.

Pictures & Collages

Relatives love to receive pictures of their family. When you buy school pictures or have any other type of picture taken, you are usually left with some extras. Put the extras together in an old album and give it as a gift. You can also make a collage with your pictures, these are easy to make and thoughtful gifts.

Crafts

There are tons of crafts you can make with stuff just laying around your house. From handmade ornaments to adorned picture frames to home decorations made with pinecones, twigs and branches.

Food

Many people make cookies, candy or some other treat for Christmas. Why not make a little extra and give them as gifts? Some other excellent food gifts that won’t break the bank are gift jar recipes, seasoning mixes, hot cocoa and drink mixes, spice rubs, flavored oils, flavored vinegars and pickled fruits and veggies.

Ornaments

Some of the easiest gifts to make are ornaments. Use old greeting cards, AOL cd’s, pinecones, foil, candy, pictures, gift wrapping, gift boxes etc. There’s a million ways you can make lovely ornaments from things found around your house.

Gift Basket

You can go all out and make a personalized, customized gift basket filled with each of these things. You might have an unused basket around the house, make sure it’s clean and fill it with an IOU or two, some cookies or candies, homemade hot cocoa mix, a picture collage and some ornaments.

No matter what you give, put plenty of thought and care into it and your gift will surely mean much more to the recipient than a $200 MP3 player or $50 jeans.

Some Awesome Music To Listen To

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 6:18 pm

People can now find more and more ways to find great music to listen to, and the options for how they can listen to that music are growing. The Internet is teeming with great music, which is the same stuff that is available in your local music store. Before the Internet, you had to purchase your favorite music from a music store, and quite often, you had to buy the whole album. After a few years, singles were released, but there was no guarantee that you can get the single you are after.

Nowadays, you are able to download music to listen to on a variety of different sites. You can choose the exact song you want without purchasing the entire album, but you still have to pay for it. You can choose a random variety of songs and download them to your computer. Then you simply have to burn the songs to a CD or download them into your MP3 player. Modern technology has given us more ways to get great music to listen to.

You can also store your music right in your computer. If you are craving for some music to listen to, you can listen to them through one of the many music players on your computer. You can use Windows Media Player, Real Player, or QuickTime. On the recent computer models, you don’t even need any kind of media player, you simply pop in the CD and a control panel will pop up.

If you own an older computer model, it is advisable that you listen to music when you are not doing anything else on your computer. When you open your media player, and choose your music to listen to, everything else on your old computer will drag. This may also cause your music to skip and stutter. This normally doesn’t occur with newer computers. If your music is skipping, or your computer is lagging, it usually means that you are doing too much at once.

Don’t forget that the music store is still an option when you are choosing music to listen to. It can be very easy to get your music online, but it can be also fun to buy an album. You may be interested on a single song from an album, but you haven’t heard the rest. You may find that there are many songs on that CD that you will also like. There is just something special about the experience of browsing through a music store and finding something amazing.

Best Music Moments of the Big Screen

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 11:04 pm

There is a slug of past and present movies with memorable musical scenes. Whether it’s Gene Kelly singing in the rain or Chris Farley singing about a fat man in a little coat, movies are filled with the magic of music. Here’s a list of our pick for top five musical moments that made the big screen a little bit bigger.

Top Gun (1986) - Pre-crazy Tom Cruise and pre-ejector seat mishap Goose, the most famous bar scene in Top Gun portrayed a pilot and his wingman, both in and out of the air. As Maverick and Goose performed You’ve Lost that Love and Feeling in an attempt to sway Maverick’s crush, the fighter pilots looking on couldn’t help but join in. While this scene made us grateful that neither Tom Cruise nor Anthony Edwards decided to pursue careers as singers, it also cemented both of them in movie music history. Even now, over two decades later, it’s hard to hear You’ve Lost that Love and Feeling without having a need, a need for speed.

Big (1988) - If ever there was a movie that speaks for the mantra “be careful what you wish for,” it was this one. Big tells us the tale of Josh Baskin, played by Tom Hanks, who wishes to be “big” on a magic carnival machine. He wakes up the next morning to find himself as a 13 year old boy trapped in a grown man’s body. While this movie had many memorable moments, the most beloved came when Tom Hanks and Robert Loggia played Heart and Soul and Chopsticks with their feeton a giant, FAO Schwarz keyboard. Not only did this scene leave kids everywhere actually wanting to take piano lessons, but it left us falling instantly in love with Tom Hanks.

Say Anything (1989) - John Cusack can be in as many movies as he wants, but to us, he will always be Lloyd Dobler. An aspiring kick boxer determined to woo high school valedictorian Diane Court, Lloyd is nothing if not adorable. Winning Diane over, he eventually succumbs to heartbreak when she dumps him. But wait, he has a plan: standing outside her bedroom window, Lloyd holds a boom box over his head, playing Peter Gabriel’s In Your Eyes. Though this scene has been parodied by everyone under the sun, it still remains one of the most romantic of all times. Of course, in this day and age, we don’t call this so much “romantic” as we do “stalking.”

Duets (2000) - A movie that included a well known singer, Huey Lewis, and several well known actors, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Paul Giamatti, and Maria Bello, Duets is the story of six lost souls who find each other through karaoke. Though there are several great musical scenes in this movie, the best on has to go to Reggie Kane, played by Andre Braugher. His rendition of Free Bird - a rendition that in real life blended the vocals of Andre Braugher with singer Arnold McCuller - was a show stopper. Not only was it moving, heart wrenching, and touching, but it left the audience forgetting that Braugher was acting.

Little Miss Sunshine (2006) - This movie had it all: laughs, tears, and the really funny boss from NBC’s The Office. In Little Miss Sunshine, we follow a dysfunctional family taking a road trip from New Mexico to California to enter Olive, played by Abigail Breslin, in a beauty contest. The talent portion of Olive’s beauty contest is where the movie gets absolutly hilarious. Chereographed by her grandfather, we watch as Olive performs a strip-tease like dance to Rick Jame’s Super Freak. Not only does the movie show a lot of heart when Olive’s family jumps on stage in her defense, but this dance provides us with an ending that no one ever saw coming; Little Miss Sunshine is like the Sixth Sense of comedies.

The Magic Number for Your Keyboard Success

Filed under: Uncategorized — shakiramusicvideosaepv @ 2:44 pm

Are You Looking for a Magical Solution?

Are you struggling with trying to figure out how to play well?

Are you feeling overwhelmed by so much to practice, so little time?

Are you looking for a way to know what to practice so that you will improve quickly?

An adult student named Liz told me that she finds that she can’t decide what to practice because there are too many choices.

Sue often complains that although she’s learned many songs, she can no longer play them.

She’s frustrated because she loves practicing her new pieces every day, and wishes she could pick up something from the past and just play it.

Has this happened to you?

It’s Not Rocket Science

When the young man asks, “How do I get to Carnegie Hall?”

the elderly New Yorker responds, “Practice, practice, practice.”

Notice that the word practice is stated three times.

It takes 3 weeks to establish a good habit, but only 3 days to lose it.

Every time you focus on one specific musical goal for 21 straight days, you will establish a new keyboard success habit.

Establishing Your Keyboard Success Habit

Here are the three things you need to do to establish your keyboard success habit.

1. Make a choice

Success does not come from practicing all of your songs, exercises and/or classical pieces all the time. There simply aren’t enough hours in the day for this.

In order to get great results, you need to pick one piece that you really like and want to learn to play well. You will still practice your other music, but now you have selected one special piece that you want to master, memorize or both.

2. Focus on your number one priority

You need to practice your selected special piece every single day. Sometimes this will be the only thing you practice. Other days, when more time is available, you can give attention to your other musical material. The most important thing is that you concentrate single-mindedly on your number one priority: to practice your special piece daily.

3. Make a commitment and stick to it

Promise yourself that you will keep your commitment to practicing this one special piece for 21 consecutive days, just three weeks. You will amaze yourself when you hear how much better you sound. Your confidence will improve too!

Action Exercises

Here are three steps you can take immediately to put these ideas into action.

First, select one special piece, practice it every single day for three weeks. All of your other music can receive your attention after you focus on your number one priority.

Second, remember that once you see the great results of your efforts, you’ll be so excited that you’ll repeat this process with another one of your favorite pieces.

Third, take this method up one more notch by practicing your special selected piece every day for three months. Your musical success is guaranteed!
